I am a 27-year-old girl from Norway who started playing golf in 2001 at the age of 13. In 2005, I represented Norway playing my first European Team Championship. Since then, I have proudly represented Norway in additional seven European Team Championships and two World Championships.
My individual merits as an amateur include winning three individual Norwegian Championships; 2007, 2010 and 2012. I completed my Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and graduated from the University of Tulsa in December 2012 with a GPA of 3.82 out of a maximum 4.0.
I have played for the University of Tulsa Women’s golf team for four years. During these four years I had a perfect team selection record and played in all of the 39 possible tournaments, which included 10 top-10 finishes of which one was a win.
On December 2nd, 2012, I declared myself a professional golfer after I finished 24th in the third and final stage of the LPGA-qualifier and qualified for the 2013 LPGA tour.
The transition from being ranked number 150 on the world amateur ranking (WAGR), to becoming a member on the LPGA tour on my first attempt happened very fast. I know this is a result of all the hard work I put into my golf. I am usually the first one on the course and the last one to leave. I am also extremely goal oriented and determined to reach my goals, but most of all I love the game and I look forward to continuing doing so in years to come.
My first year as a professional I played four LPGA events, six Symetra Tour events, four LET Access events, two Suncoast events and one Cactus Tour event. My best finish in 2013 was T6 at the Symetra Classic in North Carolina.
In 2014 I played the entire season on Symetra Tour and ended 15th on the money list. I won the Symetra Tour Championship with an eagle in a three-way playoff, and my scores for the week was 74-68-67-69. I had four other top 20 finishes in 2014 and I only missed four cuts out of 20 events.
In 2015 I have unfortunately struggled with a wrist injury. I was able to avoid surgery, but I lost the first four months of the year. I am happy to announce that I feel healthy now, and looking forward to continue to chase my dream as a professional golfer.
